About the role

Ideally, this position will be based in Texas.  We are seeking a proven people leader with 6-10+ years of experience leading and developing high-performing teams. Leads the end-to-end delivery lifecycle for large-scale data center capacity, from portfolio strategy, site and colocation-provider engagement, and design integration through construction, commissioning, operational readiness, and handoff. Ensures infrastructure is delivered to enable timely, scalable deployment of high-density GPU clusters and hyperscale compute environments, within established timeline, budget, quality, reliability, and capacity objectives. Provides senior leadership to program and project managers, setting strategic goals and ensuring alignment with organizational objectives. Directs the creation, review, and maintenance of lifecycle documentation, including design reviews, capacity and readiness plans, commissioning, and problem-solving papers. Oversees quality assurance across design, construction, systems integration, and commissioning; leads strategic site walks; and ensures critical facility systems are ready to support GPU-intensive workloads. Addresses gaps in risk identification and mitigation, communicating portfolio and delivery impacts to executive leadership. Serves as the primary point of contact between the company and colocation providers, and oversees external vendor, contractor, and supplier contracts to ensure performance, compliance, and alignment with approved design and deployment requirements.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Data Center Delivery Program Planning and Execution

• Oversees end-to-end delivery of data center capacity ensuring successful execution from planning and design through construction, commissioning, operational readiness, and handoff within established timeline, budget, quality, and capacity parameters.

• Develops, maintains, and oversees integrated program and project schedules, ensuring effective coordination with colocation providers and internal teams for on-time milestone achievement, including readiness for large-scale GPU and AI infrastructure deployment.

• Leads the creation, management, and optimization of project budgets, ensuring strategic resource allocation and cost-efficiency throughout the delivery lifecycle.

• Provides high-level leadership to program and project managers, setting strategic goals and ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.

• Directs the creation, review, and maintenance of documentation, including design reviews, capacity and deployment-readiness plans, commissioning, and problem-solving papers, ensuring organizational standards are upheld, documents are managed and delivered effectively, and all materials are suitable for their intended purpose.

Data Center Delivery Integration Readiness and Quality Assurance

• Directs the oversight of quality control and assurance processes to ensure design, construction, systems integration, and commissioning activities meet approved specifications, industry standards, and operational requirements.

• Directs the coordination and integration of tenant fit-out and deployment projects, developing strategies to enhance efficiency and collaboration during design, construction, commissioning, and operational-readiness phases.

• Leads strategic site walks to ensure schedule adherence, coordination, quality, and delivery readiness throughout the project lifecycle.

• Oversees the startup, integrated testing, and commissioning phases of major data center projects, ensuring power, cooling, network, and supporting systems are operational and ready to support high-density GPU and AI factory workloads.

Risk and Problem Management

• Directs the evaluation of risk profiles associated with timely delivery and operational readiness across a portfolio of data center projects.

• Addresses gaps in risk identification and mitigation, and communicates potential impacts to executive leadership, including impacts to capacity availability, GPU deployment, and business commitments.

• Develops and ensures the execution of comprehensive mitigation strategies for major data center delivery risks to ensure overall program success.

Stakeholder and Vendor Management

• Directs the role of primary point of contact between the company and colocation providers, ensuring clear and effective communication and integrated solutions across internal infrastructure, network, compute, operations, and business stakeholders.

• Develops and maintains strategic relationships to support internal and external stakeholders at a senior level, driving organizational strategy, capacity objectives, and business outcomes.

• Oversees the selection, negotiation, and management of contracts with external vendors, contractors, and suppliers, ensuring contract compliance and performance, and managing high-impact contract and delivery resolutions.

Design Coordination and Continuous Improvement

• Directs collaboration with design, infrastructure, and deployment teams to ensure delivery activities align with approved design plans, specifications, capacity requirements, and lifecycle-readiness criteria, integrating solutions across the organization.

• Provides high-level colocation-provider evaluation input for continuous improvement, driving organizational strategy, scalable delivery, and business objectives.

• Oversees the installation and integration of power, cooling, networking, and structured cabling systems, ensuring adherence to quality standards and managing high-impact installation resolutions required for hyperscale and high-density compute deployments.

Planning and Execution

Oversees and guides multiple teams on managing complex programs, projects, or initiatives across the data center delivery lifecycle, monitoring timelines, deliverables, capacity milestones, and budgets when applicable to ensure strategic objectives are met. Serves as a role model for appropriately delegating work, setting priorities, and ensuring alignment with business needs. Coaches others on adjusting resources or project timelines in anticipation of business changes.

Collaboration and Partnership

Role models leading cross-functional collaborative efforts to ensure alignment of expectations and strategic objectives. Empowers team to build and maintain partnerships with business leaders, stakeholders, customers, and external providers to address barriers and contribute to organizational success. Drives transparency and inclusivity by modeling actively seeking, listening to, and leveraging diverse perspectives.

Problem Solving

Shares problem-solving strategies across teams, providing oversight on complex operational, technical, and delivery issues, as needed. Coaches teams on analyzing highly complex data and/or information to identify solutions to ambiguous issues, and provides direction on identifying root causes to prevent recurrence of issues.

Continuous Learning

Pursues strategic learning opportunities to maintain expertise and apply best practices at the organizational level. Creates opportunities for team members and leaders to build their expertise in new areas, coaching them to build innovative skills. Identifies skill gap trends across the organization, and upholds a culture that places significant emphasis on sharing knowledge and pursuing learning opportunities that advance the organization. Evaluates efficiency of learning strategies and recommends adjustments as needed.

Continuous Improvement

Empowers team to own the development and implementation of ideas that increase the efficiency and effectiveness of processes, protocols, and workflows across the department. Coaches teams to gain buy-in for ideas and to seek feedback on approaches and methods for continued improvement. Prioritizes and reviews the roadmap of improvement initiatives to ensure alignment with strategic direction and maximize return on investments.

Performance and Development

Serves as a role model for driving performance across teams through tailored feedback and coaching in alignment with performance management processes, guidelines, and expectations. Drives consistency in the application of talent development procedures and socializes performance expectations across the organization. Ensures that individual development goals are aligned with organizational strategic initiatives. Collaborates with HR to implement talent strategy through hiring and promotion processes.

Range and benefit information provided in this posting are specific to the stated locations only

US: Hiring Range in USD from: $146,300 to $306,400 per annum. May be eligible for bonus, equity, and compensation deferral.
