Database Administrator (DBA4 A4 SC3)

Overview

Inabia is seeking a Database Administrator (DBA4 A4 SC3) to perform advanced technical work spanning all phases of database administration and development support in enterprise and cloud environments. This role is responsible for ensuring the security, availability, performance, and continuity of production databases while supporting the full application development lifecycle. The ideal candidate brings deep SQL Server expertise, hands-on Azure SQL experience, and a collaborative approach to working with developers, business stakeholders, and vendors.

Responsibilities

• Administer and support production SQL Server databases across all phases of the application development lifecycle, including planning, design, development, implementation, and QA
• Install, configure, upgrade, and apply Service Packs to SQL Server software
• Conduct SQL Server health checks and deliver performance recommendations
• Plan and execute SQL database migrations and upgrades from legacy servers and prior SQL versions
• Deploy, configure, secure, back up, and maintain Azure SQL databases
• Integrate Azure SQL resources with other Azure services
• Develop and deploy database schemas across test and production environments
• Perform logical and physical database modeling, including table design, relationships, and normalization
• Support the PSP Data Warehouse, Data Marts, and Power BI environments
• Coordinate database backup and restore activities
• Execute data migration activities, including extraction, cleansing, transformation, loading, and validation
• Monitor and optimize database security, availability, and performance
• Collaborate with developers, business stakeholders, vendors, and service providers to resolve technical issues
• Assist with software releases and provide regular status updates
• Estimate work effort, identify and track issues and risks, and follow established database standards
• Engage in ongoing process improvement and complete assigned tasks within required timelines

Key Qualifications

• 7+ years of SQL Server Database Administration experience
• 4+ years of Production Server Database Administration experience
• 3+ years of Data Analytics experience
• 1+ year of Azure Database Administration experience
• 1+ year of Data Warehouse experience
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Professional customer service orientation
• Ability to work independently with limited supervision and effectively within a team environment
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Business Systems Analysis and Design
• Familiarity with Microsoft SQL High Availability and Always On solutions
• Power BI Administration experience (highly desired)
