Network Engineer (Cisco Data Center)

We are seeking an experienced Network Engineer with deep expertise in Cisco Data Center technologies to support the design, implementation, optimization, and maintenance of enterprise networking environments. The ideal candidate will possess strong hands-on experience with Cisco Nexus switching, data center architectures, routing and switching, and network infrastructure troubleshooting.
This role will work closely with infrastructure, security, cloud, and operations teams to ensure a highly available, secure, and scalable network environment. Experience supporting cloud networking initiatives, particularly within AWS, is highly desirable.
Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and support Cisco-based data center networking solutions.
• Configure and maintain Cisco Nexus switches and related data center technologies.
• Manage Layer 2 and Layer 3 networking, including routing, switching, VLANs, and network segmentation.
• Troubleshoot complex network performance, connectivity, and infrastructure issues.
• Support data center modernization, migration, and optimization initiatives.
• Implement network security best practices and collaborate with cybersecurity teams.
• Develop and maintain network diagrams, technical documentation, and operational procedures.
• Participate in architecture reviews and recommend improvements to network scalability and resiliency.
• Provide technical leadership and mentoring to junior networking staff when needed.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of enterprise networking experience.
• Strong hands-on expertise with Cisco Data Center technologies, including:
  • Cisco Nexus
  • Cisco ACI (preferred)
  • Data Center Switching
  • Routing & Switching
  • BGP, OSPF, and VLAN design
• Experience designing and supporting highly available network infrastructures.
• Strong understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, multicast, and network troubleshooting methodologies.
• Experience with network monitoring and management tools.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.
