1775 - B2 Lead Network Engineer

Sigma Defense is seeking a B2 Lead Network Engineer to join our team in Perry, GA. This position will lead, and be responsible for, the maintenance, evolution, and management of the tactical network configurations associated with the Block 2 (B2) architecture of the DISA AISR - DT program. The hired candidate will be required to interface with customers and key leadership for updates, reporting, and future planning.

This is a contingent position that is pending award of contract. This means that the position is subject to the successful awarding of a contract and will be confirmed once the contract is finalized. The candidate selected for this role will be offered the position on the condition that the contract is awarded to our organization.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in networking (CCNA with 5 years of experience in networking or CCNP with 2 years of experience in networking will be considered).
• Strong troubleshooting skills.
• Network configuration managements experience.
• Network configuration automated generation experience.
• Network configuration design experience.
• Ability to display professional authority on networking topics while interacting with customers and key leaders.
• Must be a U.S. citizen.

Mandatory Certifications:

• COMPTIA Security + or IAT II equivalent:
• CCNA Security / CySA+ / GICSP.
• Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) Certification.
• Well qualified candidates may be provided a 90 day window to achieve the mandatory certification.

Personnel Clearance Level:

• Candidate must possess or have the ability to obtain an active Secret security clearance or higher.
• Clearance may be sponsored for ideal candidates.

Education Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.

Essential Job Duties (not all-inclusive):

• Integration and design work related to existing or emerging networking portions of the program.
• Maintenance of existing program network configurations repository.
• Engineering configuration changes in response to emergent or planned architecture modifications.
• Coordination of configuration delivery and access to customer sites and systems.
• Interfacing with government and civilian program partners for updates and planning.
• Configuration design in support of new integrations or products associated with the program.
• Develops and deploys plans and designs of network systems that will meet DISA AISR-DT requirements for performance, security, and compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
• Conducts tactical network architecture design, feasibility assessment, and inter-tier collaboration.
• Defines monitoring, maintenance, expansion, contingency, and recovery plans and strategies to ensure the network is responsive to changes in demand.
• Troubleshoots network issues and develops appropriate solutions, resources, and deployment processes.
• Keeps informed of the latest technologies to enhance knowledge of networking hardware, software, and best practices.

Salary Range: $90,000 - $130,000 annually.
