Method
These figures come from pay ranges employers published in their own job postings: open Generative AI Engineer jobs on LANDTHATROLE located in Ottawa, taken from employers' hiring systems. We use the midpoint of each posting's annual range, whether the pay is in the hiring system's salary field or written in the job description. Postings that give pay in US dollars or by the hour are left out. A city shows a median once at least 10 postings there list pay. Advertised ranges are what employers offer new hires, not what current staff earn.
