Summary/Objective

The DevOps Engineer III will collaborate with SRA's teams across our entire product portfolio to enhance our consulting practice by building and deploying tools and infrastructure that serve our employees and our clients.

Essential Functions

• Maintain and deploy infrastructure across SRA's diverse product portfolio (VECTR, XDR, and others) across cloud environments (AWS, Azure) and on-premises servers using Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform).
• Assist Software Development team in defining best practices for operations and infrastructure to support internally developed tools and services.
• Implement and maintain Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) tooling and pipelines using Azure DevOps (ADO) and GitLab, with fluency in both systems and ability to transition between them.
• Design and manage build automation and dependency management using modern build systems (Moon, Maven, Lage, or equivalent) across multiple projects and technology stacks.
• Remain current on information security and emerging threat trends, tools and methodologies to combat the same.
• Thoroughly document work in formal reports and present findings to management suitable for customer consumption.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position and hours of work and days are Monday through Friday 8:30am to 5pm. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.

Requirements

Required Education and Experience

• Punctuality and timely attendance to external client and internal stakeholder needs.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent subject matter or experience.
• 5+ years previous professional operations or DevOps experience working with cloud or virtualized installations of custom software.
• Strong proficiency with Infrastructure-as-Code, specifically Terraform.
• Daily hands-on experience with CI/CD platforms; proficiency in both Azure DevOps (ADO) and GitLab with ability to work effectively in either environment.
• Scripting and programming experience in Python.
• Comfortable working with modern build systems and dependency management (Moon, Maven, Lage, or similar).
• Knowledge and comfort using and administrating Linux.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Flexibility to accommodate changing schedules of client and project needs.
• Willingness to work extended hours to meet deadlines.
• Ability to work independently and articulate progress of projects to management.
• Experience patching production systems and monitoring dependencies for security vulnerabilities.
• Knowledge of infrastructure and application observability platforms and experience setting up and responding to alerts and modifying data ingestion parameters

Preferred Qualifications and Experience

• Residence in Eastern time zone preferred.
• Experience with TypeScript.
• Ability to lead cross-team infrastructure implementation projects and delegate tasks to junior team members.
