About the role

Employee Owned Holdings, Inc. (EOH) is a family of 100% employee-owned companies that specialize in highly engineered solutions. EOHI provides centralized corporate services—including Accounting, HR, Marketing, Operations, and IT—supporting a growing group of operating companies.

We are hiring an Accounts Payable Manager to lead the accounts payable function across EOHI and its operating companies during a period of continued organic growth and strategic acquisitions. This role is ideal for a hands-on finance professional who excels at building teams, driving accountability, strengthening controls, and delivering responsive service to internal stakeholders and vendors.

This role combines ownership of the procure-to-pay process with day-to-day team leadership. The Accounts Payable Manager will report to the Corporate Controller and serve as a key partner to purchasing, operations, and finance leadership.

EOHI Companies:

Hydraquip, Inc. and GCC, Inc. provide technical expertise and value-added solutions through their offering of hydraulic, pneumatic, electric, fluid conveyance, and automation products. Supreme Integrated Technology, Inc. (SIT) focuses on hydraulic, mechanical and structural design to deliver custom, turn-key systems.

Specific responsibilities include:

  • Leadership & Accountability: Lead the AP function across EOHI, Hydraquip, GCC, and SIT with a strong focus on ownership, accuracy, and timeliness. Set clear expectations, metrics, and service standards (e.g. DPO, invoice processing cycle time, first-pass match rate, and on-time payment goals).
  • People Management: Directly manage, coach, and develop the AP team, ensuring timely invoice processing, vendor payments, and issue resolution. Build cross-training and backup coverage across entities, and hold team members accountable for outcomes.
  • Invoice Processing & Matching: Oversee accurate and timely processing of vendor invoices, including inventory, freight, subcontractor, and expense invoices. Ensure consistent three-way match (PO, receipt, invoice) and drive prompt resolution of exceptions with purchasing, operations, and vendors.
  • Payment Processing & Cash Management: Own scheduled payment runs (check, ACH, and wire), including review, approval, and release. Coordinate with the CFO and Treasury on cash flow needs, and manage payment timing and early-pay discount opportunities in line with working capital goals.
  • Vendor Management: Maintain the integrity of the vendor master file, including onboarding, W-9 collection, and verification of banking changes. Reconcile vendor statements, resolve disputes, and maintain strong, professional vendor relationships.
  • Month-End Close & Reconciliations: Support the monthly close across all entities by ensuring AP cutoff, accruals (including received-not-invoiced), and timely reconciliation of the AP subledger to the general ledger. Eliminate unreconciled variances and meet established close timelines.
  • Governance & Controls: Maintain strong internal controls over the procure-to-pay process, including segregation of duties, approval authority, duplicate payment prevention, and fraud safeguards. Support audit requests and ensure audit readiness without over-engineering or slowing the business.
  • Compliance & Reporting: Ensure accurate and timely 1099 reporting, appropriate sales and use tax treatment on vendor invoices, and compliance with unclaimed property requirements for stale-dated payments.
  • Manufacturing & Distribution AP: Apply sound judgment within manufacturing and industrial distribution environments, including inventory purchasing, freight and landed costs, and job cost coding for project-based work.
  • Systems & Technology Leadership: Drive effective use and optimization of ERP and AP systems. Experience with Epicor Prophet 21 and Epicor Kinetic is a strong plus. Identify and implement automation opportunities such as invoice capture, workflow approvals, and electronic payments.
  • Process Optimization & Efficiency: Continuously improve AP processes to reduce cycle times, eliminate rework, and scale effectively as the organization grows. Balance strong controls with practical, business-friendly execution.
  • Customer Service Excellence: Ensure the AP team delivers responsive, professional, and solutions-oriented service to internal customers and external vendors.
  • Acquisitions & Integration Support: Support AP integration for new acquisitions, focusing on vendor consolidation, process alignment, system transitions, and continuity of vendor payments.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with Purchasing, Operations, IT, HR, and shared services teams to align AP processes with broader business objectives.
  • Other duties as assigned.
