Senior Accounting Manager (FP&A Focus), bilingual in Korean

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Accounting Manager with strong Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) experience to lead key accounting and financial operations. This role blends technical accounting expertise with forward-looking financial planning and analysis to support strategic decision-making in a manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with deep experience in cost accounting and operational finance and the ability to effectively communicate in both Korean and English.

Key Responsibilities

Accounting & Financial Reporting

- Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting

- Manage general ledger activities, account reconciliations, and journal entries

- Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policies

- Coordinate audits and liaise with external auditors

- Maintain and enhance internal controls and accounting procedures

Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)

- Lead annual budgeting, forecasting, and long-range financial planning processes

- Analyze financial performance, including variance analysis (budget vs. actuals) and key cost drivers

- Develop and maintain financial models to support operational and strategic initiatives

- Partner with operations and plant leadership to drive cost efficiencies and profitability

- Prepare executive-level reporting packages, dashboards, and KPI analysis

Manufacturing & Cost Accounting

- Oversee cost accounting functions including standard costing, inventory valuation, and variance analysis

- Analyze production costs, labor efficiency, material usage, and overhead allocation

- Monitor inventory controls, cycle counts, and physical inventory processes

- Partner with procurement and operations teams to manage raw material costs and margins

- Support continuous improvement initiatives with data-driven financial insights

Leadership & Process Improvement

- Supervise and mentor accounting staff, fostering a high-performance team environment

- Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency, accuracy, and scalability

- Support ERP system enhancements and financial reporting tools optimization

- Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, procurement, and senior leadership

Requirements

- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

- Minimum 7+ years of progressive accounting experience within a manufacturing environment (required)

- Demonstrated experience in cost accounting and operational finance

- Strong FP&A experience, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling

- Advanced knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting requirements

- Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Oracle) and advanced Excel skills

- Experience with QuickBooks (preferred)

- Bilingual in Korean and English (required)
