Role summary:
The Senior Data Analyst will leverage advanced data management, analysis, and visualization techniques to support business decision-making and strategy alignment. This role requires expertise in identifying and validating data sources, ensuring data quality, and applying statistical methods to uncover actionable insights. The position involves collaborating with stakeholders across multiple domains to translate complex business challenges into data-driven solutions. The analyst will also guide data governance practices and mentor team members, contributing to continuous improvement and operational excellence within a dynamic, data-centric environment.
About the team:
You will join the Delivery Acceleration and Automation (DAA) team within Walmart’s Last Mile Delivery organization. The team develops automation and AI-driven tools that support one of the nation’s largest delivery networks. DAA manages a central decision engine balancing delivery demand and driver supply, addressing complex operational challenges from data analysis to automated solutions. The team replaces manual processes with scalable automation, improving on-time delivery, cost efficiency, and productivity. This role offers the opportunity to combine analytics, business insight, and automation to directly influence delivery operations at scale.
What you'll do:

• Identify and assess appropriate data sources aligned with business requirements and service level agreements.
• Perform initial data quality checks and manage ongoing data quality improvement initiatives.
• Translate complex business problems into data-driven solutions using advanced analytics and statistical techniques.
• Develop and deliver insightful data visualizations and dashboards to support decision-making.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business context and provide actionable recommendations.
• Apply data management principles, ensuring compliance with data governance and quality standards.

What you'll bring:

• Expertise in data analysis, management and visualization using SQL, Python and/or R.
• Strong data quality skills: profiling, cleansing and monitoring.
• Experience translating complex business needs into actionable data solutions.
• Proficiency building dashboards and BI reports that drive decisions.
• Statistical and exploratory analysis skills to uncover trends and root causes.
• Familiarity with data governance and scalable enterprise data architectures.
• Clear communication of data-driven recommendations to stakeholders.
• Curiosity about automation and GenAI tools.

The annual salary range for this position is $80,000.00 - $155,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include :
