We're using AI to rethink how software is developed, accelerate innovation, and explore new possibilities across our products. At Walmart, even small improvements can have an outsized impact because of the scale at which we operate. Our teams tackle some of the most complex engineering challenges, with opportunities to push technological boundaries and bring ambitious ideas to life.

  • Turn promising experiments into practical, production-ready solutions that deliver measurable impact at scale.
  • Mentor engineers, influence technical decisions across teams, and champion AI-native engineering practices through experimentation and knowledge sharing.

What You'll Bring

  • 10+ years of software engineering experience designing, building, and operating complex, scalable systems.
  • Deep technical expertise, strong architectural judgment, and hands-on experience across the software development lifecycle.
  • Demonstrated use of AI coding tools, agents, and AI-native workflows to improve engineering outcomes.
  • Proven experience taking AI beyond proof of concept into production, whether through AI-powered products or AI-enabled engineering practices adopted in real delivery.
  • Curiosity to experiment with emerging technologies and sound judgment about what to scale.
  • Ability to influence technical strategy, mentor engineers, and collaborate across teams to solve complex problems.
