The Principal, Technical Program Manager leads the planning and execution of complex, large-scale technical programs involving multiple teams and dependencies. The Marketplace Tech team at Walmart develops scalable, innovative solutions supporting a vast retail ecosystem. This multidisciplinary group of engineers, architects, and product leaders collaborates to build robust platforms for fulfillment, logistics, and seller experience. Their work includes global supply chain integration, marketplace growth, and customer-focused delivery and returns solutions. Utilizing advanced technology, data insights, and domain expertise, the team ensures Walmart Marketplace remains agile, reliable, and ready to expand across new business models and markets, driving operational excellence and sustained growth.
What you'll do:

• Define goals, stage gates, critical delivery paths, and key deliverables for large-scale technical programs with multiple dependencies.
• Secure commitments for program scopes, delivery dates, and resources while managing cross-functional dependencies.
• Drive clarity in ambiguous situations by aligning program teams on strategy and end-to-end technology solutions.
• Lead high-level system solution design discussions ensuring scalability, availability, and performance.
• Identify risks, develop mitigation plans, and manage issues to maintain program momentum.
• Establish and improve scalable workflows, prioritization frameworks, and operational excellence practices.
• Communicate progress, risks, and impacts effectively to stakeholders and cross-functional teams.

What you'll bring:

• Extensive experience in program and project management, including risk and stakeholder management across complex, cross-functional initiatives.
• Proven ability to define goals, stage gates, critical delivery paths, and manage resource constraints for large-scale technical programs.
• Strong technical expertise in system design, cloud infrastructure, APIs, and software lifecycle management.
• Skilled in translating product requirements into scalable technical solutions and ensuring operational excellence frameworks.
• Demonstrated proficiency in communication, reporting, and alignment with varied stakeholders to drive consensus and program success.
• Analytical problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach to identify risks, mitigate issues, and optimize program outcomes.

Bellevue, Washington US-11663: The annual salary range for this position is $132,000.00 - $264,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include :
