Role summary:
The Director of Product Management for Direct Imports and Sourcing Cross Border is responsible for defining and executing the strategy to modernize one of Walmart's most complex enterprise ecosystems. This leader will connect business, operational, and technology strategies across sourcing, supplier, item, cost, order management, logistics, and compliance domains to deliver scalable global commerce capabilities. The role requires exceptional systems thinking, executive influence, and execution leadership to drive enterprise transformation, retire legacy platforms, and accelerate measurable business outcomes across a highly interconnected organization.
About the team:
The Direct Imports team operates at the nexus of Walmart's sourcing, supply chain, logistics, customs, and supplier networks. This team leads the transformation of a complex, multi-market legacy ecosystem into a unified platform strategy that supports global scale, reduces operational complexity, and improves cost, inventory, and supplier outcomes. Working across organizational boundaries, the team connects platforms, processes, and stakeholders to accelerate enterprise modernization and enable billions of dollars in import and cross-border commerce. Success requires systems thinking, strong influence, and relentless execution across a highly interconnected ecosystem.
What you'll do:
  • Define and execute the product strategy for Direct Imports and Cross Border, accelerating modernization and retirement of legacy platforms.
  • Lead large-scale, cross-functional initiatives spanning sourcing, suppliers, item, cost, order management, logistics, and compliance.
  • Connect business, operational, and technology roadmaps to deliver end-to-end solutions and measurable business outcomes.
  • Drive clarity, accountability, and decision-making across complex dependencies, competing priorities, and ambiguous ownership boundaries.
  • Challenge existing processes and champion innovative approaches, automation, and AI to simplify operations, accelerate legacy retirement, and improve scalability.
  • Influence executive stakeholders, secure alignment, and remove obstacles to accelerate value delivery.
  • Develop high-performing product teams and foster a culture of ownership, urgency, and continuous improvement.

What you'll bring:
  • Proven experience leading complex enterprise product portfolios across multiple platforms, organizations, and business domains.
  • Demonstrated success modernizing legacy systems through platform consolidation, technical debt reduction, and enterprise transformation.
  • Deep expertise in sourcing, direct imports, cross-border commerce, supplier management, order management, logistics, customs, compliance, and global supply chain ecosystems.
  • Exceptional systems-thinking skills with the ability to connect business processes, technology platforms, operational workflows, and customer needs.
  • Strong executive influence, analytical rigor, and bias for action, with a track record of aligning stakeholders, removing obstacles, driving decisions, and developing high-performing teams through ambiguity and change.
