Where is the work:

Monday to Thursday, work onsite with your colleagues. Fridays, choose your work location, balancing what your work requires.

What's in it for you:
This Associate Support Engineer - TRACE supports HVAC solutions through the customer support, testing, and commercialization of cutting-edge commercial building HVAC design & simulation software as part of the Trane Customer Driven Solutions (C.D.S.) support team.

What you will do:

• Provide direct Technical Support to Engineering and Contractor customers using TRACE and other CDS tools
• Assist with Product Development of TRACE by providing input to requirements, feeding VOC pipeline through support channels, etc.
• Assist with training internal and external customers on new or yet to be released features
• Learn about CDS products, grow in technical knowledge
• Collaborate with the CDS Sales team on initiatives to improve the customer experience
• Assist with special projects within the department
• Leverage internal software tools and AI models to improve productivity and accuracy of technical support
• Limited overnight travel is required.

What you will bring:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical preferred), Physics, or related degree is required

• 0-3 years’ experience in new product development, contract engineering, consulting engineering, MEP design, or building energy modeling preferred

Key Competencies (Preferred):

• Strong computer skills using MS Office Suite and other Windows programs required

• Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, are required

• Customer-centric mindset

• Familiarity with CAD and BIM tools (i.e. Revit)

• Familiarity with building energy modeling tools

• Knowledge of HVAC products and systems

• Experience in a customer-facing technical role

• Understanding of the software development process and Agile practices
• Knowledge of commercial building construction industry is a plus.
• Thermal sciences (thermodynamics, fluid dynamics, heat transfer)

• Knowledge of software limitations and capabilities related to technologies and design approaches used in real buildings is a plus

Annual Base Salary Range or Hourly Base Pay Range:

$56,800.00 - $101,570.00
