The Experience

The Senior Infrastructure Engineer, Systems – Collaboration will be a key technical contributor within the Digital Enterprise Technology (DET) organization, responsible for the development, management, and administration of our portfolio management tools, including Linear and Airtable. This role involves partnering with engineering, program, and business teams to design workflows, integrations, and governance models that let teams plan and track work effectively at enterprise scale. This role will be critical to the successful launch and ongoing growth of these platforms across DET. 

What You’ll Actually Be Doing

• Own the architecture, configuration, and ongoing administration of portfolio management tools (Linear, Airtable) across DET.
• Lead the rollout and scaling of new platform capabilities, from initial launch through enterprise-wide adoption.
• Design and build integrations, automations, and custom workflows connecting Linear, Airtable, and adjacent collaboration/productivity systems.
• Develop integrations between SaaS platforms and enterprise systems.
• Automate user provisioning, lifecycle management, and operational processes.
• Improve operational efficiency through automation and reusable tooling.
• Establish and enforce governance standards, including permissions, data models, naming conventions, and usage policies that scale across many teams.
• Partner with engineering leaders, program managers, and business stakeholders to translate portfolio and workflow requirements into system configurations.
• Monitor platform health, usage, and performance; troubleshoot issues and drive resolution.
• Evaluate new tools and features, and make recommendations on platform strategy and roadmap.
• Create documentation, training materials, and enablement resources to support user adoption.
• Provide technical mentorship to other engineers and administrators supporting these platforms. 

You’re Our Person If…

• You have 6+ years of experience in systems administration, infrastructure engineering, or platform engineering roles, including senior-level ownership of critical systems.
• Hands-on experience developing, managing, and administering Linear and/or Airtable, or comparable portfolio management/productivity tools.
• Experience supporting collaboration and productivity systems at enterprise scale, including large user bases, cross-functional stakeholders, and complex governance needs.
• Strong background building integrations and automations (APIs, webhooks, scripting) between collaboration tools and other enterprise systems.
• Proven ability to design scalable data models, permission structures, and workflow configurations.
• Excellent cross-functional communication skills, with the ability to work directly with engineering, program management, and business partners.
• Track record of successfully launching and scaling new tools or platforms within an organization.
• Experience with SSO, SAML, OAuth, OpenID Connect, and SCIM.
• Strong understanding of Identity and Access Management (IAM).
• Experience with REST APIs and automation scripting (Python, JavaScript, PowerShell, or similar).
• Experience troubleshooting SaaS integrations and enterprise cloud applications.

• Experience with additional collaboration/productivity platforms (e.g., Slack).
• Familiarity with scripting or automation languages (e.g., Python, JavaScript) for building custom integrations.
• Experience supporting portfolio, program, or project management processes in a large enterprise environment.
• Background in change management or enablement for large-scale tool rollouts.
• Experience administering Linear Enterprise.
• Experience administering Airtable Enterprise.
• Familiarity with Okta
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code or configuration management.

At Salesforce, we believe in equitable compensation practices that reflect the dynamic nature of labor markets across various regions.

The typical base salary range for this position is $148,000 - $223,000 annually. 

The range represents base salary only, and does not include company bonus, incentive for sales roles, equity or benefits, as applicable.
