Job title: Associate Applied Engineer, Sales Engineering

Key Responsibilities                         

• Build and maintain customer-facing demos on NCR Voyix Edge, including containerized sample applications that run alongside our POS, KDS, kiosk, and payment workloads.                                                                                                                                       
• Develop lightweight Python utilities and scripts that automate common Sales Engineering tasks (lab provisioning, data seeding, environment resets, demo orchestration).                                                                                                                                         
• Package proof-of-concepts in response to customer requests, working alongside Sales Engineers to scope and ship them inside a sales cycle.
• Support the SE team during customer engagements with technical preparation: standing up demo environments, validating integrations, debugging demo failures, and capturing reusable patterns.                                                                                                               
• Maintain a shared library of demo assets, scripts, and reference deployments so the broader SE organization can reuse the work.                        
• Partner with Product and Platform Engineering teams to stay current on Edge, container orchestration, and integration patterns, and to feed customer-driven feedback back to those teams.                                                                                                            
• Help upskill the existing SE team on container, Kubernetes, and cloud fundamentals by pairing on builds and documenting common workflows.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT, or a related field.
• Up to 2 years of experience through full-time work, internships, academic projects, or personal projects.
• Basic proficiency in Python and Linux environments.
• Familiarity with Docker and foundational Kubernetes concepts.
• Understanding of cloud platforms and modern application deployment practices.
• Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to learn new technologies.
• Ability to work effectively with both technical teams and customer-facing stakeholders.
