Hiring Unit: Institute of Health Sciences Education

Position overview

Seeking a research associate to help with a focus group project in health professions education, medical education, and clinical assessment. Tasks will include meeting with the research team on a regular basis, facilitating focus groups, coordinating data collection, participating in data analysis, ensuring rigorous research practices, and assisting in the final grant report and knowledge dissemination products.

Qualifications

• Must have experience with facilitating focus groups
• Must have experience in qualitative data analysis
• Must have familiarity with assessment, measurement, and validity frameworks
• Experience with funded research projects and focus group methodology is necessary
• Experience working in interdisciplinary research teams
• At minimum PhD level training
• Accuracy and attention to detail
• Sense of motivation and ability to work independently
• Willingness and ability to work flexible hours

Bilingualism (English, French) is an asset

Knowledge of French and English: McGill University is an English-language university where day to day duties may require English communication both verbally and in writing. The level of English required for this position has been assessed at a level #4 (qualifier) on a scale of 0-4.
