The Department of Mechanical Engineering is inviting applications for a course lecturer position to teach in Winter 2027. Please include your cover letter and Curriculum Vitae.

Course Lecturer MECH 532 - Aircraft Performance, Stability and Control (3 credits)

Instructor must cover all material as written in the Course Outline on the McGill Course Catalogue page, as follows:

• Aircraft performance criteria such as range, endurance, rate of climb, maximum ceiling for steady and accelerated flight. Landing and take-off distances. Static and dynamic stability in the longitudinal (stick-fixed and stick-free) and coupled lateral and directional modes. Control response for all three modes.
  

Teaching Qualification Requirements:

• Minimum of Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering and/or Aerospace Engineering.
• Preference will be given to those with work and/or research experience focused on aircraft
• dynamics and control.
• Demonstrated knowledge of spoken and written English.
• Understanding cross-cultural practices.
• Strong problem-solving skills and flexible approach to teaching.

Salary:

$11,824 per course
