Teaching Qualification Requirements (TQRs):


Education

MSc in Chemical Engineering with a focus on Materials Engineering.


Experience:

  • Experience with traditional metal, polymer, ceramic processes (casting, molding, forming, cutting, joining techniques) as well as expertise with novel processing technologies (3D printing, laser machining, etc.), also speciality techniques as they apply to composite materials;
  • Knowledge of structure-property relationships as they result from material processing history and their effect on chemical safety considerations;
  • Understanding and experience with heat treatment and the resulting structure -property changes;
  • Expertise in sustainability considerations with respect to the material engineering life cycle (i.e. capable of discussing social and environmental considerations concerning mining, processing, use phase, to end of life fate (recycling, reusing, upcyclability, effect of processing aids in recyclability)

Other qualification requirement(s):

Excellent communication skills (written, spoken).
