Winter 2027 Course Lecturer Position

The Department of Political Science is inviting applications for a course lecturer position to teach in Winter 2027. Please include your Cover Letter and Curriculum Vitae and if applicable a copy of your Study/Work Permit. A brief course outline is optional.

POLI 346-001 American Foreign Policy (3 Credits - CAP 80)
An exploration of American foreign policy from 1945 to the present. Topics to be addressed are the origins of the Cold War, deterrence, strategy and arms control, American intervention in Latin America and Vietnam, U.S. policy in the Post Cold War era - Gulf War, Haiti, Somalia, Yugoslavia and relations with Japan.

Teaching Qualification Requirements:

• A completed PhD degree or enrolled in a doctoral program in Political Science or a discipline related to the course;
• Provide evidence of effective teaching ability as a result of having successfully taught a similar course;
• The candidate's area of specialization must be as close as possible to that of the course being offered;
• Experience as a teaching assistant for a course is an asset.

Wednesday and Friday 10:05 am-11:25 am, January 5, 2027 – April 14, 2027. Location: STBIO N2/2.

Salary: $11,824 per course.
