Role Overview
Mastercard is seeking a highly strategic, customer-facing to serve as Vice President, Customer Enablement for Security Solutions. This leader will be responsible for designing, building, and managing Mastercard's executive customer engagement strategy across Security Solutions, creating forums that strengthen customer relationships, accelerate innovation, and inform product and commercial priorities.
The VP, Customer Enablement will lead the development and execution of customer councils, executive advisory boards, industry forums, client roundtables, innovation workshops, and other strategic engagement programs. Acting as an ambassador for Security Solutions, this role will engage directly with CISOs, Chief Risk Officers, Chief Fraud Officers, Chief Digital Officers, Chief Product Officers, and other senior client leaders.
This role requires a unique blend of executive presence, subject matter expertise, program leadership, strategic influence, and customer-centric thinking. The successful candidate will serve as a trusted advisor to customers while influencing product strategy, go-to-market priorities, thought leadership, and long-term growth opportunities across Mastercard's Security Solutions portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
Executive Customer Enablement 
• Develop and lead a global customer engagement strategy for Security Solutions.
• Build trusted relationships with senior executives across Mastercard's most strategic customers.
• Serve as a senior representative of Mastercard at customer meetings, executive briefings, industry events, and advisory forums.
• Establish Mastercard as a trusted advisor on fraud, identity, cybersecurity, digital trust, AI risk, and emerging threats.
• Partner with regional teams to deepen executive relationships and support strategic account growth.
Customer Councils & Advisory Boards
• Design and manage a portfolio of customer councils across key Security Solutions domains and buyer centers.
• Create executive advisory boards that provide direct feedback on product strategy, innovation priorities, and market trends.
• Develop annual council strategies, agendas, governance models, success metrics, and executive sponsorship frameworks.
• Facilitate meaningful peer-to-peer collaboration among customers while positioning Mastercard as a thought leader.
• Ensure customer insights are translated into actionable recommendations for product, engineering, sales, and services teams.
Customer Forums & Industry Events
• Build a repeatable, scalable framework for customer forums, executive roundtables, innovation summits, and leadership events.
• Lead content development and program management for flagship customer engagement events.
• Coordinate speakers, executive participation, customer communications, and follow-up actions.
• Partner with Marketing, Product, Sales, Customer Success, and Communications teams to maximize customer impact and business outcomes.
Strategic Customer Advocacy
• Establish formal mechanisms to gather, prioritize, synthesize, and communicate customer feedback across the organization.
• Identify emerging customer needs, market shifts, competitive trends, and innovation opportunities.
• Provide leadership with actionable recommendations that influence product roadmaps and commercialization strategies.
• Create closed-loop feedback processes that demonstrate responsiveness and strengthen customer trust.
Cross-Functional Leadership
• Operate as the central coordinator across Security Solutions business lines, Product, Commercialization, Regional Services, Marketing, Customer Success, Recorded Future, Cybersecurity Solutions, Fraud & Decisioning Solutions, and Identity Solutions.
• Align senior stakeholders around engagement priorities and customer outcomes.
• Drive execution through influence in a highly matrixed global organization.
• Establish consistent governance, reporting, and success metrics for customer engagement programs.
Thought Leadership
• Develop executive-level perspectives on fraud, identity, cybersecurity, decision intelligence, digital trust, AI, and emerging risks.
• Represent Mastercard in external forums, conferences, executive councils, and customer advisory programs.
• Create content and messaging that elevates Mastercard's position as a leader in trust, security, and innovation.
• Support strategic speaking opportunities for Security Solutions leadership.
Qualifications
Experience
• Experience in product strategy, cybersecurity, fraud, identity, payments, consulting, technology, or adjacent industries.
• Proven success engaging senior customer executives and influencing strategic decisions.
• Experience building and operating executive councils, advisory boards, customer forums, industry events, or similar engagement programs.
• Strong track record leading large-scale cross-functional initiatives in global organizations.
• Experience managing executive stakeholders and navigating complex matrix organizations.
• Payments, financial services, cybersecurity, fraud, or technology industry experience strongly preferred.

In line with Mastercard’s total compensation philosophy and assuming that the job will be performed in the US, the successful candidate will be offered a competitive base salary and may be eligible for an annual bonus or commissions depending on the role. The base salary offered may vary depending on multiple factors, including but not limited to location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Mastercard benefits for full time (and certain part time) employees generally include: insurance (including medical, prescription drug, dental, vision, disability, life insurance); flexible spending account and health savings account; paid leaves (including 16 weeks of new parent leave and up to 20 days of bereavement leave); 80 hours of Paid Sick and Safe Time, 25 days of vacation time and 5 personal days, pro-rated based on date of hire; 10 annual paid U.S. observed holidays; 401k with a best-in-class company match; deferred compensation for eligible roles; fitness reimbursement or on-site fitness facilities; eligibility for tuition reimbursement; and many more. Boston, Massachusetts: $235,000 - $375,000 USD
