What you will do 

Johnson Controls is seeking a Senior Enterprise Solutions Consultant to support enterprise security solutions throughout the customer lifecycle. In this highly technical, customer-facing role, you will act as a trusted advisor to customers, consultants, integrators, end users, sales teams, and industry partners while helping shape and deliver complex security outcomes.

This role combines advanced Professional Services delivery with strategic technical sales support and market engagement. You will bring deep expertise in enterprise access control, video management, identity management, and integrated security technologies to guide solution architecture, deployment strategy, and long-term customer success.

How you will do it

• Deliver advanced Professional Services engagements for enterprise security solutions both remotely and on-site.
• Lead system assessments, architecture reviews, migrations, upgrades, integrations, and optimization initiatives.
• Provide technical consulting and strategic guidance for large-scale enterprise deployments.
• Support customers and business partners in developing deployment strategies, operational best practices, and technology roadmaps.
• Resolve complex technical challenges across enterprise access control, video management, networking, server infrastructure, and integrated security technologies.
• Develop statements of work, technical documentation, deployment guides, and service recommendations.
• Collaborate with Product Management, Engineering, Development, and Technical Support to address customer requirements and identify enhancement opportunities.
• Serve as a trusted technical advisor for customers, consultants, integrators, and internal sales teams.
• Support account teams with advanced product demonstrations, technical presentations, POCs, RFPs, RFIs, budgetary designs, bills of material, and services estimates.
• Represent Johnson Controls at trade shows, conferences, customer events, user groups, consultant forums, and industry associations.
• Deliver workshops, educational sessions, and technical content that strengthen confidence in Johnson Controls enterprise security solutions.
• Provide field feedback on customer needs, competitive positioning, and emerging market trends.
• Contribute to knowledge repositories, deployment standards, and repeatable service offerings.
• Own outcomes end to end by bringing accountability, safety-minded thinking, and integrity to every engagement.
• Stay close to the work and the customer so you can understand real deployment challenges and remove obstacles quickly.
• Use candid problem-solving and continuous improvement to simplify complex issues, capture lessons learned, and strengthen repeatable practices.
• Work as one team with Sales, Product Management, Engineering, Training, and Technical Support to deliver the best solution for the customer.
• Communicate clearly and proactively so consultants, integrators, end users, and internal stakeholders stay aligned from opportunity through delivery.

What we look for

Required 

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Security Management, or a related technical discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and extensive industry experience.
• Minimum 10 years of experience within the enterprise security, physical security, enterprise software, or related technology industries.
• Extensive hands-on experience with enterprise security platforms, including system design, deployment, configuration, troubleshooting, upgrades, and integrations.
• Demonstrated expertise with enterprise access control systems, video management systems, identity management solutions, networking infrastructure, virtualization technologies, Microsoft server environments, and database technologies.
• Proven ability to serve as a technical consultant and trusted advisor within complex customer environments.
• Strong presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage effectively with executive leadership, consultants, architects, end users, integrators, and technical personnel.
• Experience leading technical workshops, architecture reviews, design sessions, and product demonstrations.
• Ability to independently evaluate customer requirements and develop comprehensive enterprise solution strategies.
• Demonstrated problem-solving, analytical, and project leadership capabilities.
• Ability and willingness to travel throughout North America as required.

Preferred 

• Expert-level experience with Johnson Controls enterprise security technologies, including Software House C•CURE 9000, American Dynamics, and related enterprise solutions.
• Experience supporting large-scale, multi-site enterprise deployments across critical infrastructure, data centers, healthcare, higher education, government, transportation, commercial, and other enterprise environments.
• Experience in Professional Services, Applications Engineering, Solutions Consulting, Strategic Sales Support, or Technical Account Management roles.
• Experience responding to technical specifications, RFPs, RFIs, and complex customer design requirements.
• Knowledge of enterprise integrations, APIs, cloud technologies, cybersecurity principles, and identity management solutions.
• Industry certifications related to security technologies, networking, cloud infrastructure, virtualization, databases, or cybersecurity.
• Established credibility within the security consultant, engineering, integrator, or end-user communities.

Salary Range: HIRING SALARY RANGE: $124,000- 187,000 (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.) This role also offers a competitive Sales Incentive Plan that will take into account volume and margin on a project, quarterly, and annual basis. This position includes a competitive benefits package. The posted salary range reflects the target compensation for this role.
