The Role and Impact
As a Supply Chain Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in optimizing Intel's supply chain to support the seamless production and delivery of cutting-edge technologies. You will develop and implement process engineering and quality improvements that drive efficiency, sustainability, and cost-effectiveness across component and product manufacturing. By collaborating cross-functionally, you will ensure manufacturability and supply chain considerations are proactively integrated into Intel's technology development and product design phases, making a direct impact on Intel's ability to meet market demands and achieve operational excellence.

The Corporate Planning Group (CPG) is dedicated to driving Intel's operational and strategic success by ensuring robust planning and execution across our business. As part of Systems Supply Chain Components Engineering, you'll join a team focused on advancing Intel's supply chain capabilities by collaborating on manufacturing readiness, supplier partnerships, and continuous improvement initiatives. This group plays a key role in enabling Intel's innovation and delivering world-class products to customers.

Key Responsibilities
- Partner with product architecture, design, Research and Development, manufacturing, and technology development teams to embed supply chain considerations early in design phases.
- Conduct technology benchmarking, feasibility studies, and ecosystem analyses to identify emerging materials, processes, and suppliers.
- Leverage and help develop should cost models that aid in product affordability decisions and cost negotiations.
- Define supplier quality standards, validate processes, and develop control systems to ensure production efficiency, yield, and reliability.
- Drive process validation, quality metrology readiness, and root cause analysis to support continuous improvement efforts.
- Recommend and implement risk mitigation strategies and alternate sourcing plans to address supply chain gaps and ensure manufacturing readiness.
- Contribute to intellectual property creation to enhance Intel's competitive position in the industry.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or associated field (Material Science, Physics etc.) and 6+ years of hands-on experience in supply chain engineering, PCB manufacturing, or related areas OR Master's degree in a relevant engineering or supply chain field and 4+ years of experience OR PhD in a relevant field with 2+ years of experience.
- Demonstrated expertise in process engineering, supplier management, or supply chain optimization or design.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools, modeling software, or process simulation platforms.
- Familiarity with quality control systems, statistical process control, and root cause analysis methodologies.

Preferred Qualifications
- Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams and external suppliers.
- Proven ability to identify and implement innovative solutions in supply chain or manufacturing environments.
- Experience in PCB technology development, advanced manufacturing processes, or supplier quality management.
- Passion for driving sustainable and efficient supply chain practices.

Annual Salary Range for jobs which could be performed in the US: $120,860.00-231,670.00 USDThe range displayed on this job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target compensation for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Work Model for this Role
