What You Will Do   

• Assist design, systems and project engineers in the department on various projects that may include some of the following:
• Review / evaluation of engineering schematics, drawings, parts lists, and requirements specifications
• Working with computer aided design (CAD) models.
• Working with model-based systems engineering (MBSE) models
• Extracting, processing, and analyzing product-generated data.
• Working with software simulations to help diagnose or maintain our product systems.
• Review of vendor product performance and capability information to help select components used for designs.
• Performing various engineering calculations to assess design capability or operational performance.
• Processing and/or tracking status of engineering changes or product quality tasks.
• Participating in integrated product development team meetings.
• Documenting design, analysis and/or test results.
• Plan and manage tasks effectively.
• Prepare and present project / technical information to peers, internal management, and customers.

Qualifications You Must Have   

• Must be pursuing Bachelor’s or Advanced degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering and actively enrolled through the completion of the internship/co-op session.
• Must have a minimum of 60 hours of credit by the start of the internship / co-op session.

• Experience may be obtained through on-the-job experience, research, coursework, or projects. 

Qualifications We Prefer   

• Experience with CAD
• Ability to read drawings and schematics
• Experience working on a team
• Familiarity with use of technical requirements and specifications
• Good communication skills
• Demonstrated initiative, drive, and willingness to learn

• Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.

The salary range for this role is 37,000 USD - 82,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays.
