Technology Product Management Group Manager - Senior Vice President

Join the Controls Technology division as a Product Manager. In this strategic and high-impact role, you will own the vision, product strategy, and end-to-end lifecycle of mission-critical Risk and Control technology platforms across our global financial enterprise.

You will lead the transition from business problem spaces to scalable, compliant, and intuitive technical products. Working closely with senior business executives, risk officers, compliance partners, architecture leads, and dedicated Product Owners/Engineering teams, you will define the "Why" and "What" behind our product investments. This role is designed for a strategic product thinker and outcome-driven leader who balances visionary road mapping, rigorous risk governance, deep technical fluency, and modern AI-augmented delivery practices.

Key Responsibilities

1. Product Vision, Strategy & Road mapping

• Define & Own the Product Vision: Formulate and articulate a compelling multi-year product vision and roadmap for Controls Technology platforms aligned with global enterprise risk appetite, regulatory mandates, and business objectives.
• Drive Strategic Prioritization: Balance competing demands across regulatory commitments, business feature requests, technical debt remediation, and architecture modernization using data-driven prioritization frameworks (e.g., RICE, WSJF, Value vs. Complexity).
• Manage Product Lifecycle: Own the full product lifecycle from discovery and incubation through growth, optimization, and eventual decommissioning or legacy modernization.

2. Product Discovery & Business Value Realization

• Customer & Stakeholder Discovery: Lead continuous product discovery sessions with business leaders, compliance officers, operational risk managers, and auditors to uncover root problems and unmet operational needs.
• Define Key Metrics & Outcomes (OKRs/KPIs): Establish measurable business outcomes, adoption metrics, risk-reduction indices, and operational efficiency KPIs; monitor performance and iterate based on quantitative insights and qualitative user feedback.
• Business Case Formulation: Build comprehensive business cases, ROI models, and executive investment proposals for new capabilities, platform consolidations, and tooling modernization.

3. Cross-Functional Leadership & Governance

• Product Owner Mentorship & Alignment: Guide and mentor Product Owners and Business Analysts, ensuring tactical backlog execution, epics, and sprint goals remain tightly coupled to strategic roadmaps and business milestones.
• Executive Stakeholder Management: Serve as the primary product partner for senior leadership, risk committees, and audit bodies; communicate product strategy, milestone delivery, risk posture, and value realization with executive presence.
• Regulatory & Audit Navigation: Proactively align platform features with regulatory guidelines (e.g., Basel, SOX, BCBS 239, FINRA/SEC standards), ensuring controls are automated, auditable, and resilient by design.

4. Technical Architecture & Innovation Leadership

• Architecture & Engineering Partnership: Collaborate with Enterprise Architects and Engineering Leads to ensure platform scalability, data integrity, microservice modularity, and high-availability standards.
• AI & Modern Technology Adoption: Pioneer the integration of GenAI, automated policy validation, predictive control monitoring, and intelligent analytics into the product portfolio to reduce manual control execution and streamline compliance.
• Dependency & Risk Management: Identify, govern, and unblock cross-platform dependencies, integration bottlenecks, and third-party vendor risks across global delivery teams.

Core Qualifications

• Experience: 10+ years of overall experience in technology and product delivery within global financial services or tier-1 fintech environments, including 4+ years as a dedicated Product Manager owning product strategy, roadmap execution, and stakeholder governance.
• Domain Mastery: Deep functional expertise in Risk & Controls, Operational Risk, Enterprise Governance, Compliance (RegTech), or Financial Auditing systems.
• Strategic & Discovery Skills: Proven track record in product discovery, market/internal customer analysis, value-stream mapping, and translating complex regulatory frameworks into scalable technology products.
• Technical & Architectural Fluency: Strong architectural intuition; ability to engage deeply with engineering on APIs, data pipelines, cloud-native infrastructure, and control automation architectures.
• Leadership & Communication: Exceptional presentation, stakeholder negotiation, and storytelling skills with proven ability to influence without authority across matrixed global organizations.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Finance, Business, or related quantitative field. An MBA or Master’s degree in a relevant discipline is strongly preferred.

Preferred Certifications & Tooling

• Product Certifications: Recognized product management credentials (e.g., Pragmatic Institute Certified, AIPMM CPM, SAFe POPM / Product Management, CSPO / A-CSPO, PSPO II/III).
• Ecosystem & Tooling: Advanced proficiency with Jira, Confluence, Productboard, Roadmunk, Aha!, Figma, and enterprise BI/analytics tools (e.g., Tableau, PowerBI).
• Emerging Tech / AI: Practical exposure to evaluating and implementing AI/LLM-assisted workflows, automated rule engines, and advanced analytics in enterprise risk workflows.

Primary Location Full Time Salary Range:

$169,600.00 - $254,400.00
