Lead Finance Solutions Architect

Citi is hiring a Lead Finance Solutions Architect to shape the future of its global finance function as part of a strategic, multi-year Finance Technology Transformation program. Sitting within the Principal Architect's leadership group, this senior role is the primary driver of target state business architecture across critical finance domains — including General Ledger, Financial Close, Data Substantiation, and Reconciliation — as Citi migrates its core finance platforms to Oracle SaaS. This is a high-impact opportunity to translate the business strategic goals into a coherent end to end multi-technology  blueprint that will redefine how finance operates at one of the world's leading financial institutions.

Responsibilities

●                             Define the target state business architecture for core finance domains — including Accounting Engines, General Ledger, Financial Close, Data Substantiation, and Reconciliation — ensuring designs align with strategic objectives and regulatory requirements.

●                             Analyze current state finance processes end-to-end, identifying gaps, inefficiencies, and opportunities for simplification, standardization, and automation across a global organization.

●                             Develop detailed business process models, functional designs, and data flow diagrams that articulate the future state and serve as the authoritative blueprint for the transformation program.

●                             Engage senior stakeholders across Finance, Front Office, and Operations to gather requirements, build consensus, and validate that the target architecture meets critical business needs.

●                             Translate the business architecture into clear functional requirements for Technology teams, ensuring delivered solutions address the right business problems and are fit for purpose.

Required Qualifications & Skills

●                             6+ years as a Business Architect, Process Architect, Solutions Architect or equivalent strategic role within financial services, with a clear career progression from a technical discipline into business solutions and architecture.

●                             Deep functional knowledge of core finance and accounting processes, including General Ledger, sub-ledger accounting, financial close and consolidation, data substantiation, and multi-system reconciliation.

●                             Demonstrated ability to model business capabilities and design complex, end-to-end business processes at scale within a large, global organization.

●                             Solid understanding of financial data flows, data governance principles, and the critical data elements required for financial control and reporting in a regulated environment.

●                             Exceptional communication and stakeholder management capability, with a track record of influencing senior leaders and articulating complex business concepts clearly to varied audiences.

●                             Strategic mindset with the ability to connect granular process design decisions to broader business outcomes and long-term organizational objectives.

Primary Location Full Time Salary Range:

$142,320.00 - $213,480.00
