What you'll be doing

You’ll be joining CIBC’s Enterprise Data Enablement team, where we’re helping drive the bank’s digital transformation through scalable, enterprise-wide data solutions. As a Consultant, Full Stack Developer, you’ll play a key role in delivering complex Data Mesh Platform initiatives that improve how data is accessed, shared, and used across the organization. You’ll design, build, implement, and maintain flexible, reliable technology solutions that enhance the client and user experience on the platform. In this role, you’ll work across modern cloud, integration, and application technologies to support innovation, performance, and long-term platform growth. You’ll also collaborate with partners across teams to deliver high-quality solutions that align to business and technology objectives.

At CIBC we enable the work environment most optimal for you to thrive in your role. You'll have the flexibility to manage your work activities within a hybrid work arrangement where you'll spend 1-3 days per week on-site, while other days will be remote.

How you'll succeed

• Design and development - Design, build, and enhance full stack applications and platform capabilities using modern development practices, cloud technologies, and enterprise integration patterns. Create scalable, secure, and cost-effective solutions that support Data Mesh Platform objectives.
• Technical leadership - Lead complex application development activities, including defining technical architecture, selecting appropriate tools and frameworks, and establishing effective testing approaches. Contribute to architecture decisions and promote high-quality engineering standards across the team.
• Strategic delivery - Support the development of technology roadmaps that align with business priorities, enterprise strategy, and platform goals. Lead or contribute to multiple complex initiatives involving backend systems, emerging technologies, and enhancements to existing applications.
• Team collaboration - Act as a technical lead within the development team by facilitating code reviews, sharing knowledge, and helping ensure deliverables remain on track. Mentor team members through collaboration, problem solving, and hands-on technical support.

Who you are

• You can demonstrate experience in .NET Core, ASP.NET Core Web APIs, React, Azure Functions, Durable Functions, Event Hub, Storage Queues, Databricks APIs, API gateways, REST APIs, Swagger, and OpenAPI specifications. It’s an asset if you have experience with Entra ID, OAuth, Azure Identity, managed identities, SQL Managed Instance, and enterprise data integration patterns.
• You have relevant experience. You bring at least 5 years of experience as a Full Stack Developer designing, developing, and supporting enterprise applications in a complex technology environment. You’re confident troubleshooting production issues and contributing to architecture reviews, code reviews, and technical mentoring.
