- Support other group underwriters with large renewals, revisions, and quotations as needed.
- Participate in organizational projects as required.
WHAT YOU WILL BRING:
- Post-secondary education in mathematics, business, economics, finance, insurance, or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
- Strong numerical aptitude, analytical ability, sound judgment, and attention to detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain analytical findings and underwriting decisions clearly.
- Effective decision-making and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines while working independently and as part of a team.

- Self-motivation and comfort learning new concepts, asking questions, applying feedback, and developing expertise in a structured training environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and the ability to learn underwriting and benefits administration systems.
- Comfort working effectively in a remote environment and collaborating through video conferencing and other digital tools.
ASSETS THAT WILL HELP YOU SUCCEED:
- Experience in group underwriting, group benefits, insurance, financial analysis, pricing, claims, benefits administration, or another analytical environment.
- Knowledge of group benefits, insurance, or risk assessment.
- Familiarity with Alberta Blue Cross® products.
- CEBS, GBA, or another underwriting-related certification.
