What You’ll Be Doing:

Provide strategic leadership and oversight of all hotel engineering, maintenance, facilities, grounds, and building operations. Ensure the property’s infrastructure, equipment, and physical assets are maintained safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead preventive maintenance, repairs, inspections, engineering operations, and emergency response across the property.
• Manage and develop the engineering team through recruiting, training, coaching, performance management, and succession planning.
• Oversee HVAC, electrical, plumbing, boilers, chillers, elevators, generators, kitchen and laundry equipment, pools, fire protection, and building systems.
• Develop and manage departmental budgets, labor, inventory, vendor contracts, utilities, and capital expenditures.
• Lead capital improvement, renovation, and construction projects while minimizing operational and guest disruption.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, ADA, fire and building codes, environmental regulations, life safety requirements, brand standards, and company policies.
• Partner with Front Office, Housekeeping, Food & Beverage, Sales, and Operations to maximize room availability, support events, and maintain exceptional guest experiences.
• Drive energy conservation, sustainability, cost-control, safety, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Maintain strong vendor relationships and ensure contracted services meet quality, safety, and financial standards.
• Serve as a key member of the hotel leadership team, contributing to strategic planning, forecasting, risk management, and overall operational performance.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, Facilities Management, Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Hospitality Management, or a related field preferred. 
• Minimum of five to seven years of progressive engineering or facilities management leadership experience, including senior management responsibility within a full-service hotel, resort, convention hotel, healthcare facility, or comparable commercial property. 
• Previous experience managing hotel engineering operations, preventive maintenance programs, capital projects, and life safety systems required. 
• Demonstrated experience managing departmental budgets, labor planning, vendor contracts, energy management, regulatory compliance, and associate development. 
• Knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, refrigeration, life safety systems, building automation systems, and commercial maintenance practices. 
• Universal EPA Refrigerant Certification, Certified Pool Operator (CPO), or other applicable technical certifications preferred. 
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays, overnight shifts, and emergency call coverage as business demands require.
