Information Technology (IT) Internship-Summer 2027

Job Description

AUMOVIO is seeking an Information Technology (IT) Intern to join our team for Summer 2027 at our automotive manufacturing facility in New Braunfels, Texas. This internship provides an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while developing a broad understanding of IT.

This internship is a full-time, on-site opportunity designed to provide meaningful learning experiences and professional development. This internship position is scheduled to last 12 weeks in length from May 17, 2027-August 6, 2027. 

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist with IT tool verification and deployment.
• Create additional tools and data communication visualizations.
• Partner with Engineering to support the resolution of IT issues related to new production line installations.
• Support other IT duties and projects as assigned.

OUTCOMES

The Information Technology (IT) Intern can expect to gain practical experience in a broad range of IT focused functions including:

• Will develop applications with .NET Framework and Oracle database.
• Will learn best practices with system testing & production line validation testing.
• Will diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve incidents related to desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and applications.
• Manage user accounts, access permissions, and system security in accordance with company policies.
• Will develop scripts, tools, or applications for systems administration, database and applications, data management, automation, performance, and capacity monitoring.
• Input and update systems or documents to maintain data and accuracy for IT objects such as service calls, asset management and warranty claims.
• Will experience the manufacturing environment.
• Will work with cross functional teams.
• Will develop problem solving skills.

Qualifications

Required

• Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university.
• Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science, business information systems, industrial systems or other related studies.
• Minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA.
• Familiarity with common software products such as: Windows 11, IOS, Microsoft Office, O365 and Internet Browsers.
• Basic knowledge of computer and mobile device hardware.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States is required. AUMOVIO will not sponsor individuals for employment visas for this position now or in the future.
• Relocation assistance is not available for this opportunity.

Preferred

• Prior internship or work experience in IT or related area.
• Experience working in a team-oriented environment.
• Exposure to manufacturing, operations, or industrial environments.
• Interest in pursuing a career within IT.
• Experience with data analysis, reporting, or process improvement initiatives.
