About the Opportunity

Reporting to the Principal Investigator, the Project Coordinator will support the coordination and delivery of projects conducted within an embedded research program situated within the Nova Scotia Health Cancer Care Program (NSH CCP).  The Project Coordinator will coordinate and support project and study management, administration, and execution. Key responsibilities include coordinating and supporting REB submissions, literature reviews, and qualitative and quantitative data collection, analysis, and management.

The role also involves developing project workplans, protocols, timelines, and documentation; preparing presentations and project materials; drafting reports, summaries, and other knowledge products; facilitating communication across multi-site and multidisciplinary teams; supporting knowledge translation and stakeholder engagement activities; monitoring project timelines and deliverables, and proactively identifying and addressing potential risks, challenges, and delays. 

This position is particularly suited to a well-organized individual, who enjoys a dynamic work environment, is able to adjust to shifting priorities, tight deadlines, while maintaining exquisite attention to detail. This is a full-time 1-year position with possible extension, in a hybrid work environment.

About You

We would love to hear from you if you have the following:

• Master’s degree in a health sciences or social sciences discipline (e.g., psychology, epidemiology, community/public health) required.
• Minimum of three years research experience and project coordination required.
• Familiarity with qualitative and/or quantitative research methods, data collection, data management, and analysis, along with a willingness to learn new research methods, tools, and processes.
• Familiarity with health research required.
• Strong project coordination and organizational skills, with the ability to develop workplans, establish timelines, track deliverables, manage competing priorities, and maintain accurate project documentation.
• An interest in knowledge translation, stakeholder engagement, and learning health systems, with enthusiasm for contributing to embedded research that can generate evidence and support meaningful improvements in healthcare delivery.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to develop clear research materials and effectively engage researchers, clinicians, health system partners, and community stakeholders.
• Ability to work well independently with initiative, ownership and sound judgement and be able to anticipate next steps, identify potential risks early, and proactively move projects forward.
• Adaptability, problem-solving, and collaboration, with the ability to work effectively across multidisciplinary and multisite teams, respond to changing priorities, and contribute positively to a dynamic research environment.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams), Adobe Acrobat, email and internet applications.
• Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred.

• Long assignment full-time position; 75 hours biweekly

Compensation and Benefits

Pay Scale Type: RSH209
Hourly Rate: $39.29 - $49.11
Annual Salary: $76,621 - $95,777
