About the role

We’re looking for a hands-on engineer who enjoys building software, understanding networks, and making business systems work together. This is a broad role on our technology team, spanning internal products, infrastructure, integrations, and automation.

We operate our own servers. You should be comfortable working with the hardware, operating systems, networking, and troubleshooting across those layers.

You Will:

  • Build and maintain internal applications, services, and integrations.

  • Operate, and troubleshoot physical servers, including hardware, OS, storage, and virtualization.

  • Maintain networks, DNS, VPNs, firewalls, and secure remote access.

  • Improve monitoring and reliability.

  • Automate infrastructure administration and workflows.

  • Connect business platforms through APIs, webhooks, and data integrations.

  • Work with marketing and sales on lead generation, routing, and attribution.

  • Use AI development tools effectively while taking responsibility for correctness and maintainability.

This position requires working In-Person at our Houston office.

What you bring:

  • Strong engineering fundamentals and experience building and operating real systems.

  • Practical experience administering physical servers and self-hosted infrastructure.

  • Strong Linux and networking skills, including TCP/IP, DNS, routing, VPNs, and firewalls.

  • Familiarity with storage, virtualization, containers, monitoring, backups, and recovery testing.

  • Software development and scripting skills, with the ability to work across application and infrastructure boundaries. We use TypeScript, modern web frameworks, APIs, and relational databases.

  • Good judgment around security, access management, sensitive information, and production changes.

  • The ability to turn loosely defined business needs into working technical solutions.

  • Clear communication, curiosity, and follow-through.

Experience we value:

  • Electrical engineering experience or education, particularly involving computing, communications, hardware, or systems.

  • An advanced homelab or equivalent independent projects. Running your own servers, networks, virtualization, storage, monitoring, or identity systems is a relevant experience. We care about what you’ve built, maintained, broken, and learned to fix.

  • An affinity for marketing technology and lead flow. You enjoy understanding how leads enter the business, move between systems, reach the right people, and become customers.

  • Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, infrastructure automation, identity providers, or device management.
