Lead Software Engineer

JPMC Enterprise Network Services runs the network for the firm — a global, high-availability environment spanning more than 56 countries, over 2 million data ports, and 40,000+ devices, where outages have material consequences and regulatory scrutiny is constant. We are hiring a **Software Engineer Lead** to bring software engineering discipline to how we build, operate, and keep this infrastructure reliable.

This is a software engineering role for someone who wants to work close to the infrastructure. You will write the code, tools, and automation that make a large network estate more reliable, more observable, and less dependent on manual effort. You will define reliability targets, build the systems that measure and defend them, automate away repetitive operational work, and improve how quickly we detect and recover from problems. Current and upcoming work includes building automation for a resilient global DMZ, replacing manual operational processes with software, engineering observability and telemetry pipelines, and codifying disaster recovery across regions.
