Software Engineer III - Backend Data Engineer

As a Software Engineer III at JPMorganChase within the Corporate Sector you serve as a seasoned member of an agile team to design and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. You are responsible for carrying out critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm’s business objectives. 

Job responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain full stack applications using Java or Python

• Build scalable data solutions, including data pipelines and analytics capabilities, leveraging cloud technologies, Databricks, and Spark

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop reliable, high-performance software solutions.

• Evaluate and adopt emerging technologies, including AI-assisted development tools and Agentic AI capabilities.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

• Experience in software engineering with Java or Python.

• Hands-on experience with AWS or other cloud platforms.

• Experience with Databricks, Apache Spark, and large-scale data processing.

• Strong understanding of data engineering, analytics, and scalable application design.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Exposure to or interest in Agentic AI and modern AI-driven development practices.

• Familiarity with modern front-end technologies
• Exposure to cloud technologies
