  • Review requirements, specifications, and design documentation to develop verification strategies and ensure adequate test coverage.

  • Analyze test failures, troubleshoot issues, isolate root causes, and collaborate with development teams to drive resolution.
  • Document verification results, track test progress, and communicate findings, risks, and recommendations to stakeholders.

  • Collaborate with software, firmware, and hardware engineers throughout the product lifecycle to ensure quality objectives are met.

  • Support project planning through effort estimation, risk assessment, and release readiness activities.

  • Continuously improve verification processes, tools, and automation capabilities.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience in software and/or firmware verification, test engineering, or a closely related engineering discipline.

  • 3+ years of experience in software verification, firmware verification, or a related engineering role.
  • Experience testing integrated software, firmware, and hardware systems.
  • Strong programming skills in Python.
  • Experience designing, developing, and maintaining scalable automated test frameworks and automation solutions.
  • Experience with source control systems such as Git.
  • Experience creating test plans, test cases, test reports, and other verification documentation.
  • Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills across software, firmware, and hardware interactions.
  • Ability to analyze requirements and translate them into effective verification strategies.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability and desire to work effectively in a collaborative, cross-functional engineering environment.

  • Experience using defect tracking and work management systems such as Jira.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience using test and measurement equipment such as digital multimeters (DMMs), source measure units (SMUs), oscilloscopes, power supplies, switch systems, data acquisition systems, or other electronic instrumentation.
  • Familiarity with other programming languages such as Lua, C#, or C++.
  • Familiarity with instrument communication and control technologies, including SCPI, VISA, IVI, and LXI-compliant instruments.
  • Experience testing communication interfaces such as USB, LAN/Ethernet, GPIB, and RS-232.
