Senior Engineering Manager - Fuel Delivery Systems

The Senior Engineering Manager will lead the engineering design and delivery of integrated fuel gas skid and station solutions. Fuel gas skids and station solutions include fuel gas conditioning skids, gas flow metering skids, pressure regulation and monitoring skids and gas composition analysis stations. This role will provide lead design engineering for capital projects valued at more than $10 million each, translating customer requirements into complete engineered solutions.

You will report directly to our General Manager and you’ll work out of our Houston, TX location on a Hybrid work schedule.

Hybrid Work Schedule Note: For the first 90 days New Hires must be prepared to work 100% onsite Monday – Friday.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead engineering design and technical execution of large gas skid or station projects.
• Translate customer specifications, operational requirements, and applicable codes into safe, reliable, and cost-effective system designs.
• Define design basis, system architecture, equipment specifications, bills of material, and engineering deliverables.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary engineering activities across mechanical, piping, instrumentation, controls, electrical, process, and safety disciplines.
• Lead design reviews, risk assessments, technical clarifications, verification activities, factory acceptance testing, installation support, and commissioning readiness.
• Manage engineering scope, schedule, budget, quality, risks, assumptions, interfaces, and change control.
• Partner with project management, sales, procurement, manufacturing, suppliers, construction teams, and customers to resolve technical issues and maintain execution alignment.
• Ensure designs comply with customer requirements, internal standards, and applicable industry codes and regulations.
• Coach engineers, establish technical priorities, and promote disciplined engineering practices, lessons learned, and continuous improvement.

Product and Technology Scope

• Integrated skid and station packages for fuel gas conditioning, flow metering, pressure monitoring and regulation and gas composition analysis

  • Pressure regulation and monitoring solutions
  • Gas quality measurement, analysis and flow computing solutions.
  • Gas leak detection systems.
  • Pressure and temperature measurements

YOU MUST HAVE

• 6+ years of progressive experience in mechanical engineering, including the design and execution of complex engineered systems.
• 3+ years of experience leading and managing engineering teams, with demonstrated success in technical leadership and project execution.
• Demonstrated experience leading complex, multidisciplinary capital projects with accountability for design, technical scope, schedule, cost, quality, and risk.
• Progressive engineering experience involving packaged process equipment, gas systems, metering stations, skids, and comparable engineered-to-order solutions.
• Knowledge of natural-gas flow measurement, pressure regulation, overpressure protection, gas quality, detection, instrumentation, and control-system integration.
• Strong communication, stakeholder-management, problem-solving, and technical decision-making skills.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.

WE VALUE

• Experience supporting data center, gas power, oil and gas infrastructure projects.
• Knowledge of engineered skid fabrication, vendor management, factory acceptance testing, field installation, and commissioning.
• Certified Professional Engineer (PE) or equivalent credentials.
• Knowledge of mechanical, chemical, electrical, controls, instrumentation, or a related engineering discipline.
