Within the firm's Global Banking & Markets business, Transaction Banking (TxB) aims to provide comprehensive cash management solutions for corporations. TxB combines the strength and heritage of a 150+ year-old financial institution with the agility and entrepreneurial spirit of a tech start-up. Our goal is to provide the best client experience. Through the use of modern technologies centered on data and analytics, we provide customers with powerful tools that are grounded in value, transparency, and simplicity to improve cash flow management efficiency.

Within TxB, the Cloud Platform Rails team is a global team responsible for engineering and operating SWIFT infrastructure to support our Payment Orchestration and Execution Platform in the public cloud.  Working in close partnership with Product and Payments Engineering teams, the team is responsible for supporting multiple global payment rails, including SWIFT cross-border payments, CHAPS, SEPA, and T2.

How You Will Fulfill Your Potential

• Manage multiple tasks and use sound judgment when prioritizing.
• Collaborate with global cross functional teams in building customer-centric products.
• Analyze existing software implementations to identify areas of improvement and provide deadline estimates for implementing new features.
• Update and maintain documentation for team processes, best practices, and software runbooks.
• Establish trusted partnerships with peers, product heads, and executive level stakeholders.

Basic Qualifications

• Advanced degree in Computer Science (or equivalent work experience).
• Minimum 2-3 years of SWIFT AMH, Alliance Gateway (SAG), or equivalent experience.
• Experience with shell scripting or with modern programming languages like Python or Java.
• Experience with version control, continuous integration, deployment, and configuration management tools in a DevOps environment.
• Exceptional analytical skills and ability to apply knowledge and experience in decision-making to arrive at creative and commercial solutions.
• Ability to leverage technology to deliver business value.
• Team oriented; strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Energetic, self-directed, and self-motivated. Must be independent and comfortable in a fast paced and often multi-directional work environment.
• Must be passionate about technology and engineering.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in Financial Services or Fintech.
• Hands on experience with Amazon web services, such as Cloudwatch, EC2, ECS, IAM, KMS.
• Experience using Gitlab.
• Experience with IaC languages such as Terraform or Cloudformation.
• Experience with messaging platforms such as IBM MQ.
• Experience with SQL databases (PostgreSQL/Oracle).
• Experience working in a Linux environment, including system engineering, high availability design, performance analysis, network troubleshooting.

Salary Range
The expected base salary for this New York, NY, United States-based position is $115,000-$180,000. In addition, you may be eligible for a discretionary bonus if you are an active employee as of fiscal year-end.
