Systems Specialist, Azure Virtual Desktop

All successful applicants must meet requirements for Canadian Controlled Goods Program (CGP), Canadian Government Security clearance, and U.S. International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).   

This position requires full-time on-site presence. 

• ⁠⁠⁠⁠⁠⁠ Deploy and maintain Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) infrastructure for scalable remote access 

• Administer and optimize Microsoft Exchange 2016/2019 and related collaboration tools 

• Manage and enhance endpoint management platforms including Microsoft Intune and SCCM 

• Build and maintain secure, standardized OS images and software packages 

• Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to enforce endpoint protection and compliance policies 

• Lead or contribute to IT projects such as hardware refreshes, OS upgrades, and application rollouts 

• Document technical procedures and contribute to internal knowledge bases 

• Mentor junior IT staff and provide Tier 3 escalation support 

• Partner with business units to deliver timely, process-driven tech solutions aligned with ITIL standards 

• Stay current with EUC trends and recommend suggestions for improvements  

• ⁠⁠⁠⁠Education Required: A university degree, college diploma or a related discipline 

• 3-8 years of experience in IT Environments (Systems) 

• Knowledge/Experience in: Active Directory (AD), Microsoft Intune, Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD), and SCCM 

• Knowledge/Experience in Cloud Platforms such as Azure 

• Effective customer service and communication skills 

• Strong attention to detail while being able to pivot to changing priorities 

• Work well in a collaborative environment 

Bonus: 

• Microsoft Certified Systems Associate, or Microsoft Certified Azure Associate 

• ITIL Foundations Certification 

• Six Sigma – Yellow Belt Certification
