Akamai Technologies, Inc. is hiring for the following role in Cambridge, MA (multiple openings): Senior Software Engineer. Perform software engineering duties in furtherance of design and implementation of custom software applications in the realms of internet security, content delivery, APIs, machine learning, and/or cloud computing; design, implement, automate, and support all aspects of the product; participate in the architecture, design, development, testing, implementation, maintenance, and support of software solutions; develop new applications, improve current systems and bring new capabilities to our customers; contribute to our automated test suite, including unit, functional, integration, and end-to-end tests in labs and QA environments; improve current functionality and bring new features to the software platform. Required Qualification:

Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical & Computer Engineering, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Engineering Science, Information Systems, IT, or Telecommunications, plus two (2) years of experience in the job offered or closely related engineering role. 

Must have two (2) years of experience with the following: Windows and Linux, Azure Cosmos DB, Microsoft Azure, PAAS, HTTPS, Node JS, Angular, VSCode, Postman, Teams, Microsoft Azure, Jira, VSCode, Docker, Kubernetes, Azure DevOps, Teams, Git, JavaScript, TypeScript, Java, HTML, CSS, SCSS, JSON, XML, YML, Express JS, Angular, MVC, Microservices, Restful API, Spring, Boot, Event-Driven Architecture, Module Pattern, Middleware Pattern, and Dependency Injection.

Compensation

Akamai is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. For US based candidates only - the base salary for this position ranges from $138237-$218600 /year; a candidate’s salary is determined by various factors including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and location. Compensation for candidates outside the US will vary. The compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities in the form of annual bonus or incentives, equity awards and an Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP).
