Position Summary

The Industrial Journeyman Pipefitter is responsible for assembling, laying out, installing, repairing, and maintaining industrial piping systems and related components in a safe and efficient manner.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 4 years of experience as an Industrial Pipefitter or Pipefitter Helper
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications
• Working knowledge of industrial pipefitting procedures and techniques
• Experience working on industrial construction or maintenance projects
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Demonstrated leadership abilities

Essential Job Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine work scope, material requirements, and installation procedures
• Identify tools and equipment required for assigned tasks
• Recognize workplace hazards and implement appropriate safety measures
• Fabricate, prepare, install, and fit pipe according to project specifications
• Install valves, flanges, hangers, supports, and other piping components
• Perform quality checks and testing on piping systems
• Safely move and position materials using rigging equipment, including slings, chains, shackles, hooks, and cables
• Follow all site and company safety requirements

Required Qualifications

• Proven industrial construction and/or maintenance experience
• Ability to read and understand construction drawings and technical documents
• Knowledge of industrial piping installation and maintenance practices
• Strong understanding of pipefitting processes and procedures
• Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Strong manual dexterity and mechanical aptitude
• Ability to work independently with limited supervision
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment

Preferred Qualifications

• NCCER Pipefitter Certification
• Formal technical or vocational training
• Previous employment with ZACHRY

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, and climb throughout the workday
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
• Ability to work in industrial environments and varying weather conditions
• Ability to climb ladders, scaffolds, and work at heights while utilizing proper fall protection
• Ability to work in confined spaces when required
• Must be able to wear all required personal protective equipment (PPE), including hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, respirators, and steel-toe boots

Tools & Equipment

• Employees must provide basic tools required to support their craft.
• Site-specific PPE will be provided.
• Additional tools and equipment may be supplied by the site as needed.
