About the role

About Citco:

The market leader. The premier provider. The best in the business. At Citco, we’ve been the front-runner in our field since our incorporation in 1948 led to the evolution of the asset servicing sector itself. This pioneering spirit continues to guide us today as we innovate and expand, push beyond the boundaries of our industry, and shape its future. From working exclusively with hedge funds to serving all alternatives, corporations and private clients, our organization has grown immensely across asset classes and geographies. For us, this progress is a pattern that we’ll only maintain as we move forward, always prioritizing our performance. So for those who want to play at the top of their game and be at the vanguard of their space, we say: Welcome to Citco.

About the Team & Business Line:

Fund Administration is Citco’s core business, and our alternative asset and accounting service is one of the industry’s most respected. Our continuous investment in learning and technology solutions means our people are equipped to deliver a seamless client experience.

As a product-focused lead within the Data Transformation Office, you will partner with the Transformation Office leadership team to bring structure, governance, and product thinking to our API platform initiative. Drawing on your project governance background and hands-on analytics exposure, you will translate high-level business needs into a clear product roadmap, user stories, and delivery milestones. You will help shape how our APIs are designed, consumed, and evolved — turning a technical asset into a well-managed product that internal teams and clients can depend on.

Your Role:

  • Contribute to the API product vision and align the roadmap to strategic goals
  • Establish and maintain governance structures (intake, prioritization, change control, versioning) for the API portfolio
  • Create and maintain extensive documentation — including API catalogs, consumer guides, and decision logs — to enable self-service knowledge dissemination
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes and generate new product ideas informed by analytics and usage patterns
  • Work with the Product Owner and stakeholders to prioritize enhancements and manage the backlog
  • Anticipate, identify, manage and mitigate risks and cross-project dependencies
  • Manage expectations of senior management and stakeholders, facilitate steering committees, and provide regular status reports
  • Help to break down organizational silos and promote collaboration between business, engineering, and operations
  • Ensure quality of work being delivered by being involved in testing efforts, including API contract and UAT validation
  • Through partnership with the business, define, sponsor and steer API product initiatives
  • Influence and guide technology, project management, and operations teams in solution delivery
  • Translate light-touch data analysis (SQL, basic scripting) into product hypotheses and feature ideas
  • Maintain and develop expertise and keep abreast of market trends, API standards, and competitor offerings
  • Collaborate with other product teams on prioritization, reuse of endpoints, and shared components
  • Define success metrics (adoption, latency, error rates, consumer satisfaction) and use them to steer the roadmap
  • Work with Platform and Application teams to design API solutions in alignment with our business objectives

About You

  • 5+ years hands-on experience in project/program governance, product ownership, and documentation
  • Working knowledge of SQL and/or basic scripting/analytics tools (e.g., Excel, Power Query, or Python fundamentals)
  • Experience with Power BI, Qlik, or similar reporting/visualization tools is an advantage
  • Collaborates effectively with individuals of varying technical ability and business acumen
  • Learns quickly and thrives in a fast moving, dynamic atmosphere
  • Strong project governance skills — intake processes, prioritization frameworks, risk/change control — with attention to detail and proven ability to multi-task
  • Strong knowledge of Atlassian products (Jira, Confluence)
  • PMP, Certified Scrum Master, or Certified Scrum Product Owner a plus
  • Skills in negotiation, influencing, stakeholder management
  • Track record of organizing and structuring technical initiatives (e.g., API programs) from a product/governance perspective
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong visual communication skills (PowerPoint, Visio, Smart Sheets)
