Plumber-Intermediate

Under general supervision, responsible for providing skilled craftsmanship as a plumber and assisting with all duties related to the assignment.

Schedule:

Monday-Friday 7:45am-4:15pm

The role may require nights, weekends and holidays depending on the need.

• Completes assigned tasks to include installation, maintenance, remodeling, repair, and servicing of plumbing systems.
• Performs plumbing work in the construction, alteration, repair and maintenance of buildings.
• Installs pipes, sinks, traps, washbowls, toilet fittings, drains, special laboratory sinks and drain tables.
• Repairs and maintains valves, faucets, traps, sinks and vents.
• 5 Connects hot water heaters, gas heaters, furnaces and tests for safety.
• Repairs sewer pipes.
• Unstops clogged lines.
• Performs minor carpentry, digging and cleanup duties related to the assignment.
• Performs all other duties as assigned.

• Excellent customer service skills.
• Knowledgeable in the use of chemicals, diagrams, and the ability to read blue prints.
• Knowledge of all phases of plumbing and sewer.
• Knowledge of rules and regulations for sanitation requirements.
• Knowledge and usage of measuring and testing devices, hand and power tools.
• Basic math abilities, mechanical aptitude and basic computer skills.
• Strong problem solving, communication and organizational skills.

Education

• High school diploma or GED is required.
