General Maintenance Mechanic II-Atlantic Health-Full Time

This position is part of the mobile facilities team that execute work orders for the Offsites locations, individual will need to be able to work along with others as well as independently, be trustworthy, presentable and polite as they work in the medical office environment.

Respond to emergencies or urgent needs, be a team player and help with any facility task that comes up.

Be available during the off hours when needed.


Principal Accountabilities:

1. Performs repair, maintenance and inspections on off-site facility equipment including minor plumbing, electrical, heating/AC, paint and wallboard repair and any general maintenance needs as required.
2. Properly manage work orders by executing and closing them out.
3. Use a variety of power and hand tools to perform job functions.
4. Maintain machinery and the adjacent workplace in a state of appropriate cleanliness; create and maintain a schedule for inspection, service and testing of machinery.
5. Works with the Coordinator and supervisor to prioritize work requests based on immediate needs and schedule.
6. Performs other related duties as assigned.

7. Be able to climb and work on ladders.

8. Be able to bend over, lift 40lbs. and walk up stairs.

Required:
1. High School Diploma or equivalent.
2. Experienced with use of tools and equipment
3. 3-5 years of prior experience

Preferred:
1. Associate's degree in mechanical, electrical or engineering specialties.
2. 4 years general maintenance experience in a healthcare environment preferred.
