Technical Business Analyst - Senior IT&S Analyst

Role Overview 

The Technical Business Analyst (TBA) serves as a bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams, translating business needs into clear, actionable technical requirements. The TBA ensures that technology solutions align with organizational goals and are delivered efficiently and effectively. 

Job Description

Guides analysts to gather business requirements, conduct needs assessments, and develop functional specifications to ensure that developed information technology solutions support business objectives.

Job Responsibility

• Guides analysts to serve as a liaison between development teams and the internal/external customer or end user. 
• Ensures that established requirements gathering process is followed to identify requirements. 
• Ensures the communication of requirements to the development teams through the use of specifications, statements of work, project plans, or other forms of documentation. 
• Ensures coordination with developers, quality assurance teams, and users to test processes and ensure functionality and user acceptance. 
• Guides the development of user documentation or training materials. 
• Operates under limited guidance and work assignments involve moderately complex to complex issues where the analysis of situations or data requires in-depth evaluation of variable factors.

Job Qualification

• Bachelor's Degree required, or equivalent combination of education and related experience.

• 3-5 years of relevant experience, required.

  Highly Preferred 

• Technical Skills

  Understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC)

  • Experience with Agile and/or Waterfall methodologies

  • Familiarity with tools such as: 

  • JIRA, Confluence (project/documentation)

  • Visio (process/data modeling)

  • Excel (data analysis)

  • Basic understanding of APIs, system integrations, cloud platforms

  Business Skills

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Stakeholder engagement and facilitation

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects

  • Attention to detail and critical thinking
