Direct of Product Management, Electrification

In this position… 

You will own the end-to-end digital product strategy and roadmap for Ford's electrification portfolio spanning grid services, core EV functions on-vehicle and in the Ford mobile app (range and routing, charge finding, and more), and the strategic vision for Ford’s Blue Oval Charge Network. You'll be responsible for feature delivery across both Ford's current in-market EV nameplates and the upcoming Universal Electric Vehicle (UEV) platform, with a global customer base. We're looking for an experienced, visionary product leader who is passionate about shaping the future of electric vehicle ownership and energy experiences.

What you'll do…

• Own the digital product and feature roadmap for electrification, including grid services programs, core EV functions (range/routing, charge finding, scheduling, bi-directional power) and the Blue Oval Charge Network, across both mobile and in-vehicle surfaces.
• Set and communicate the strategic vision for Ford's public and home charging ecosystem.
• Deliver features across Ford's current in-market EV nameplates while simultaneously building the roadmap for future Universal Electric Vehicle (UEV) nameplates.
• Lead and develop a team of product managers/pillar owners.
• Understand the competitive landscape and emerging technologies/trends in electrification and energy, and find ways to differentiate Ford's offering.
• Translate customer needs into clearly defined technical requirements backed by data and comprehensive industry knowledge.
• Measure success and continuously improve products using principled methods and metrics.
• Drive alignment between engineering, design and other stakeholders across a globally distributed organization to achieve shared goals.
• Articulate the electrification product vision, address challenges and report progress to Ford's executive leadership.
• Effectively manage short-term tactical delivery needs while advancing long-term strategic objectives across a broad, global scope.

You'll have…

• Bachelor's degree
• 8+ years of Product Management experience, with demonstrated leadership over large, cross-functional product organizations
• Ability to work in person in our Dearborn, MI or Palo Alto, CA offices
• Background in electric vehicles, energy services, connected services or automotive technology
• Demonstrated ability to lead large-scale software projects or product portfolios across both hardware (vehicle) and software (mobile/cloud) surfaces
• Experience managing global product portfolios and distributed teams
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical and executive stakeholders
• Proven track record of solving tough problems and delivering working solutions throughout your career
• Ability to learn new skills and knowledge through self-initiative
• Passion for serving your customers

• A degree in Engineering, Computer Science or a related technical field
• Experience with grid services, EV charging networks, or bi-directional energy programs

This position is a leadership level 4.

 
Final determination of salary grade will be based on candidate's skills and experience, and base salary will be set within the applicable range according to job scope, responsibility and competitive market value.
