Software Dev QA - FortiSASE

FortiSASE is a SaaS-based service that combines network and security functions with WAN capabilities, which allows users to securely access the Internet from anywhere. As a team member, you will be responsible for testing the end-to-end functionality of the product. You will be working closely with multiple development and QA teams to verify new features, regression test existing functionalities, automate E2E tests and improve the product's usability, reliability, and performance. Job Responsibilities

• Execute feature and bug fix testing for the FortiSASE cloud-hosted security solution using a combination of manual and automated testing techniques. 

• Help build frameworks and packages required to implement end to end automation involving multiple products. 

• Work with internal teams to diagnose and troubleshoot issues found in production and staging environments. 

• Identify, document, and track software defects found during testing. 

• Work closely with developers to ensure defects are correctly identified and fixed. 

Job Skills Required

• Experience working as a QA in a Software-as-a-Service or Infrastructure-as-a-Service environment and/or in Network security and related technologies such as IPsec,SSL/TLS,VPN,DNS,SD-WAN etc.

• Ability to create and maintain test infrastructure. 

• Knowledge of TCP/IP networking, firewalls, switching, and routing. 

• Team player with strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills. 

• Demonstrated ability to logically and analytically troubleshoot web applications, networks and cloud infrastructure. 

• Demonstrated ability to write clear and reproducible problem reports and test results. 

• Experience working with OpenStack, AWS, GCP and Azure is preferred 

• Experience with endpoint software (such as FortiClient or equivalent) is an asset 

• REST API and web application testing

• Fortinet and other vendor certifications are a plus

• Experience with AI is a plus. 

Nice to have

• Experience with Python/TypeScript with Playwright, Selenium or pytest is a plus

• Hands-on experience with AWS. GCP, Azure or OpenStack is a bonus.

• Testing of secure web gateway or explicit-proxy deployments, ZTNA, SD-WAN or BGP, SAML SSO, SCIM or OIDC identity flows

• Experience with endpoint agents such as FortiClient or equivalent.

• Building MCP servers, developer tooling or test-data services.

• Performance, scale or reliability testing of distributed systems.

• Experience with FortiGate or FortiOS, or Fortinet certifications.

Educational Requirements

• A degree or technical diploma in Computer Science, Computer Technology, or related field. 

The Canada base salary range for this full-time position is expected to be between $83,000 - $102,000 annually.  Wage ranges are based on various factors including the labour market, job type, and job level.  Exact salary offers will be determined by factors such as the candidate’s subject knowledge, skill level, qualifications, and experience.
