Lightcast is hiring a Data Scientist for its Global Workforce Intelligence team. You’ll use data, large language models, RAG processes, AI agents, APIs, models, and research to help customers understand the labour market and to develop innovative data solutions. The role combines data science, customer consulting, and project delivery. You’ll work with economists, data scientists, engineers, and the Insights team.

Major Responsibilities:

• Deliver customer consulting and internal innovation projects using research, analytics, and creativity.

• Assess business requirements, identify solution options, and explain the trade-offs.

• Manage analytics projects from scoping through delivery, including timelines, risks, deliverables, customer relationships, resources, and budgets.

• Develop or fine-tune models through reproducible experiments.

• Contribute to the technical design of AI agents, data solutions, including dashboards.

• Explain machine learning and AI results and limitations to technical and non-technical audiences.

• Keep up with developments in data science and AI.

Education and Experience:

• Experience or strong skills in data science, statistics, and machine learning.

• Good Python and SQL skills; experience with Snowflake or another cloud data warehouse is desirable.

• Experience with dashboarding and data visualisation tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Qlik.

• Proficiency with project management tools such as Jira, Asana, or similar.

• Strong project management, communication, and interpersonal skills, including experience managing customers from project scoping through delivery.

• Fluent English; French, German, Italian, or Spanish is an advantage.

• Self-motivated and able to work independently, prioritise work, collaborate across teams, and learn from coaching.
