As our Director of Technical Accounting, you’ll be our expert on complex accounting questions. You will research, interpret, and apply the appropriate accounting standards affecting our property and casualty insurance operations and investment portfolio. Senior management will rely on you for guidance on GAAP, statutory accounting, NAIC guidance, investment accounting, reinsurance, and other complex P&C accounting matters.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- At least 10 years of accounting experience with emphasis in compliance, policy, and research.
- Insurance accounting experience, either in industry or public accounting serving insurers.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and statutory accounting for insurance companies.
- Experience accounting for fixed income and other insurance investments.
