About the role
MES Implementation Consultant (Contract)
Implement the manufacturing execution system that tracks raw materials to finished goods and ties the shop floor to the client's ERP.
What you'll do
- Lead MES requirements workshops with production, quality and planning teams
- Configure work orders, routings, genealogy/traceability, quality checks and OEE tracking
- Build and test MES–ERP integrations (production orders, material consumption, inventory, labor)
- Support data migration, user acceptance testing, go-live and hypercare on site
- Train client super-users and document standard operating procedures
Requirements
- 5+ years implementing MES/MOM platforms (e.g., Siemens Opcenter, Rockwell Plex/FactoryTalk, AVEVA, DELMIA Apriso, Critical Manufacturing)
- Integration experience with SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics or Epicor ERP
- Working knowledge of ISA-95 and shop floor processes
- At least two full-cycle MES go-lives
Nice to have: Regulated industry experience (FDA 21 CFR Part 11, AS9100, IATF 16949), SQL and REST API skills.
