Systems Engineer

Position Overview
TAP Engineering is seeking a Systems Engineer to analyze user requirements, concept of operations documents, and high-level system architectures to develop system requirements specifications. This role leads design and development activities, guides users in formulating requirements, advises on alternative approaches, and conducts feasibility studies. The Systems Engineer provides technical leadership for the integration of requirements, design, and technology, and works closely with government stakeholders and program leadership throughout the system lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze system requirements and lead design and development activities
• Guide users in formulating requirements, advise on alternative approaches, and conduct feasibility studies
• Provide technical leadership for the integration of requirements, design, and technology
• Incorporate new plans, designs, and systems into ongoing operations
• Develop technical documentation, including system architecture and system design documentation
• Guide system development and implementation planning through assessment or preparation of system engineering management plans and system integration and test plans
• Interact with the Government regarding Systems Engineering technical considerations and associated problems, issues, or conflicts
• Hold ultimate responsibility for the technical integrity of work performed and deliverables associated with the Systems Engineering area of responsibility
• Communicate with other program personnel, government overseers, and senior executives

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering and 7 years of relevant experience, or a Master's degree and 5 years of relevant experience, or a Doctoral degree and 3 years of relevant experience (ABET accredited)
• Relevant experience must be in engineering systems over their lifecycle (for example, conception, design and development, testing, production, distribution/deployment, operation, maintenance and support, decommissioning)

Compensation
The anticipated salary range for this position is $160,000–$185,000, based on relevant experience, qualifications, and other applicable factors. The compensation range provided is a general guideline and is not a guarantee of compensation or salary.

Clearance Requirement
This position requires an active TS/SCI and appropriate polygraph. Clearance processing and maintenance will be conducted in accordance with U.S. Government requirements.
