Job Overview: As a Quality Engineer at Snapsheet, you are a proactive problem solver who builds test systems and processes to elevate our standards and prevent issues before they reach production. You will operate in two connected roles: embedded within a product team to write end-to-end automation, serve as the domain subject matter expert, and foster a quality-first culture; and as a member of the broader Quality Engineering team, translating product-level needs into shared tooling and infrastructure.

As a Quality Engineer, you help engineers build with quality in mind by defining test requirements and acceptance criteria before code is written. You validate functionality by writing robust end-to-end UI automation. The Quality Engineering team owns and maintains Snapsheet's main customer-focused automation suite and software, where you will support your product domain while building the tooling required for total confidence in automated tests.

About the team: Dispatch

The Dispatch team owns the engine that assigns work into the right hands at the right time to allow users to focus on their prioritized tasks. The team’s mission is to automatically assign work at scale to the best-fit user based on configured rules instead of manual selection. The Dispatch team’s vision is to aim for a future-state where all work routes itself, instantly and correctly, so users can focus on resolving claims to shorten the claim lifecycle.

About the Team: Communications and Documentation

The Communications and Documentation team builds the core workflows that our users rely on every single day. Our mission is to create a seamless, best-in-class experience that empowers users to manage files, communicate with customers, and document decisions without the system ever getting in their way. Our ultimate goal is to set the industry standard for file management and drive massive improvements in user efficiency.

Responsibilities: 

• Drive Upstream Quality: Partner directly with Product and Software Engineering during early feature design to define test requirements, edge cases, and acceptance criteria.
• Develop deep domain expertise in your product area to guide risk analysis and test coverage strategies.
• Architect and expand robust, maintainable UI automation frameworks to cover critical user journeys and core product workflows.
• Design and maintain automated API test suites to validate microservices, webhook payloads, data contracts, and third-party integrations.
• Actively monitor daily automated test runs, conduct triage on test execution signals, and collaborate with engineering to fix test suite flakiness or escalate software defects.
• Build developer-facing utilities, test data generators, and diagnostic tools that make running and debugging tests fast and frictionless for all engineers.
• Translate the specific testing bottlenecks of your embedded product team into shared, scalable tools and infrastructure for the entire engineering organization.
• Integrate test execution directly into CI/CD build pipelines, eliminating test flakiness and improving pipeline stability to allow fast, confident deployments.

 

Qualifications: 

• B.S. in related discipline or equivalent working experience 
• 3+ years of experience working with test automation frameworks (Selenium, Cypress, Playwright)
• Proficient in one or more programming languages (Ruby and JavaScript preferred)
• Familiar with project management tools (Jira, Confluence), version control systems (Git, GitHub), and test management tools (Zephyr, TestRail).
• Understanding of the software development life cycle (SDLC)
• Understanding of quality assurance methods and testing principles
• Experience in software testing environments for web-based products and/or mobile applications
• Good self-learner and self-motivator who takes initiative and thrives in an autonomous environment
• Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment.

• Experience with non-functional testing tools (e.g., Grafana k6, JMeter) a major plus

Compensation that Grows with You

For this position, the base salary range is $90,000–$120,000. While this range serves as a guideline, your actual compensation will reflect your experience and skillset.
